  1. Thanks i completely missed the post in the thread about the balance connectors.
  2. Afternoon all. I want to have a single connector to join the servos and retracts in the wing to the fuselage rather then having individual connectors. I have a spare balance lead connector for a 8cell battery (9pins), would this be suitable for the currents etc that are invovled with servos? Thanks Dave
  3. I had the same concern so changed the throttle cut button, on my Dx6i for a toggle switch, so i cut keep the throttle cut until i am ready to fly.
  4. Same as the others. I have paid with paypal but it didn, t show on hk. Used the live chat and the problem was solved in a couple of minutes. Even if I want to use the credit card I always do it through paypal. No extra hk fee and I have an instand paypal transaction number incase of payment problems.

  6. Once again, another Hobbyking post changes from the origional topic to HK bashing. People who have problems with any service/company are always going to be the most vocal.

  8. I will agree with you all. I have had excellent service from them.
  9. I maybe wrong, but washout is where the trailing edge towards the wing tips twists upwards. This reduces the angle of attack of the wing at the tip. This means that the wing root is more likely to stall first. This means that when the stall happens you still have aileron control as these are operating at the wing tips where that stall isn't happening. Looking at your avatar think of the pitch of the wing reducing towards the tip. Edited By dav84 on 08/05/2013 19:31:47
  10. Thanks Peter, would adding more side thrust help to reduce the torque effect so I am only fighting the war on one front.
  11. Thanks for the feedback so far. It is the rolling once the wheels leave the ground that is the issue. From what people have said so far I need more airspeed before take off and maybe a bit more side thrust. Airspeed maybe the key as i have been able to "catch the roll" a few times.
  12. Right ok. Further questions. If it is torque, what can be done to reduce it? If it is controllable with rudder and it is the slipstream, how can this effect be reduced? Thanks
  13. I understand how to combat torque rollon take off using rudder etc and I am led to believe that the size of the prop can effect the amount of torque roll (correct me if i am wrong). My question is if i change to a three blade prop and go down a diameter size will this reduce the amount of torque roll or will it still be the same as power is roughly the same and there is an extra blade? My thinking is that as Torque = Force x Radius the smaller radius of the 3 blade will reduce the torque.
  14. Another issue with social media is people get the wrong end of the stick. I was mearly suggesting a possible future idea that more people could get innvolved in. I have supported hobbyking on this forum and other forums and will continue to do so. I would just like to feel innvolved with my budget and before anyone suggests it I already donate to many charities without receiving anything in return. So apolgies if it seemed negative I didn't mean to I just want to be innvolved.
  15. Surely some sort of prize draw would have raised more money. Something like, make a £10 donation for a chance of winning. Someone could win a plane for a tenner and I'm sure the number of entries would exceed the amount raise by one person who clearly has enough money to make a large donation but feels they need something in return to do so.
  16. Have you had any issues with you Gopro? Also did you use any software, other than the Gopro Cine Studio software? Dav
  17. I have had my pro for almost 2 years now. I haven't had any issues with it in flight, only the tight radio bay when rigging it up. I feel the power is fine, no need to rocket up. I have manage a flight time of 1 hour with thermals and still had 55% left in the battery that comes with the BNF.
  18. Does anyone know how much it weighs?
  19. What do people use to enlarge the prop opening. I dont have a dremel and the plastic is pretty tough.
  20. I have had no problems with HK. Maybe your attempted delivery note went missing at work. I know that if a small piece of card was posted at my workplace it would never find its way to me!
  21. You can get a gasket paste. I hve used this for exhaust gaskets before without problems. It comes in a tube like toothpaste and you just put it on and clamp in place. I think I got mine from a car parts shop.
  22. Danny Fenton to pick up just some of his excellent scale building skills.
  23. Your not the only one Steve. I do the same. You can even rename them if you want to be even more particular. Sad to say I have renamed them. Just need the pennies tho as the lists never seem to get that small.
  24. Just a quicky. I understand that the length of the servo arm and the horns on the rudder need to be the same length, but does the servo have to be on the centre line of the plane? i.e. so the centre of the servo arm is on the centre line. The reason i ask is that i want to install a closed loop system in a plane but there is only just room for two servos side by side (elevator and rudder) so the rudder srevo isn't on the centre line of the plane. Is the closed loop system possible in this situstion? Dave
