Engine Position on Mount

I'm building a Harlequin and am about to fit the engine - in my case it is a SC 0.32 two-stroke. I've bought a resin mount which has two arms that protrude about 2.5 inches from the front plywood former. The 0.32 is quite small and I'm wondering where to position it along the mount. I think it should go as close to the firewall as possible so that it's rigid - is that correct as I've not seen any mention of the optimum place to mount it?

Normally, a distance from the firewall to the prop. driver face would be quoted. Assuming you have some flexibility, I would leave mounting the engine till last, then position the engine to achieve the correct balance without having to add more lead than necessary. Then simply build the cowl around that.
