Evening from the garden of england

Thought I'd better say hi seeing as I registered a few weeks but not posted yet.

I'm a relative noob to flying fixed wing but a bit longer in the tooth on rotary.

Had a Century Hawk 4 about 11 yrs ago which I learned to hover but before I progressed to ff family and work commitments forced me to sell up. Still had rc models tho as I concentrated on my cars and boats ( much more young family friendly . Fast forward to last year and I got myself a Nine eagles Sky Runner,, which I grew fairly proficient at, and I also got back into heli's with a T-Rex 450 which I quickly got the hang of again, and soon moved on from basic hovering.( also picked up another as a backup so when one went in I could just get the spare out and carry on wink

Having got the hang of the sky runner I had a hankering for a bigger better plane and after looking round for a while and reading variousreviews in issues of this great mag' I decided on an MPX Dogfighter, which I thought would be ok seeing as I had gained aileron and speed experience from the heli.

Turned out to be not too bad a decision as maiden was awesome, and the next few flights too. Then an orientation mis-hap led to a nose first meet with a tree in the orchard next to where I was flying resulting in a written off fuze and wing. Now patiently waiting for them to come back in stock so I can get her in the air again.

I also have the umx Beast AS3X, which I've put in once but was soon back in the air, and seeing as it's already happened I'm not so worried about flying it now.smiley Really love the little blighter although I'm only using about 60% rates and loads of expo, just waiting for this nasty weather to abate so I can get back out there practising.

Anyway, enuff waffle for now but hope to carry on gleaning as much info as I can from this great font of knowledge, and maybe even contribute to a thread or two.

cheer for now

Cliff
