Gwilym Phillips
Hi all, which helicopter is the best one for the total beginner, and is it worth having a flight simulator first? ( there must be lots of them out there second hand) Gwilym
Rob G 2
Hi GwilymI bought a "twister bell medevac" a week ago. RC heli flying was new to me and that was my first heli. Im finding it a very stable machine to learn on and now im flying it all around my house! Very easy to learn on. Depends entirely on how much your willing to pay. I got mine for £99.99 from my local model shop. I have had a fair few crashes and stil in tact! Structure very strong so perfect for a first time flyer!5 stars from me! Gwilym Phillips
Is there an electric model for the beginner with a tail rotor that can fly outside as the real thing ?
Brian Daniels
well you can go for a fixed pitch but they are alot harder to learn with...if you want a "real" heli for outside flying you will need to have a bigger budget... i would say blade cx and Phoenix RC Simulator,
Alan B
If you want something bigger. Flys outside- electric- looks like the real thing- everything in the box- ARTF(Almost ready to fly) includes building and flying instructions on CD and a Basic Sim. You can always look at the - Ikarus Eco 7 Jet Ranger. As Brian has commented it depends on your budget! As a beginner always get yourself a training carriage!
