Ian Rayne
Hi all, I've been trying to fly helis on my simulator but on full throttle the helli does not lift, it works fine with the planes but not helis except for the very small ones, I use a Hitec Optic 6 sport on the sim. Can anyone assist it's must be something stupid I am doing. Thanks Ian
Gary Graham
Sounds like your channel 6 (pitch) is not set to the same as throttle, re calibrate using phoenix and select optic 6 as tx that should fix it.
John Privett
Have you got the transmitter profile in Phoenix setup so that both 'Engine' and 'Collective Pitch' are operated when you move the throttle stick on the tx? It sounds as if the throttle stick is not operating the collective. The "small" helis on the sim that do work are likely to be fixed-pitch machines, so don't have collective pitch control. If I remember correctly, I put my tx into heli mode for use on Phoenix so that the throttle hold, idle-up etc. work on the sim exactly as they do in real life. Alan Cantwell
i saw this once at the flying field, collective was reversed, he revs the nads off it, then abruptly shut his throttle, the thing shot in the air, and he immediatly closed it, this reversed the blades, and powered it into the floor, hell of a mess
