Chris 'Chops' Dore
Hi, as I'm new to this site I though I'd add an 'avatar', piccie of one of my recent builds. I went through the routine but when asked to crop the image there was no way to do it. No corner or edge markers to drag, no fixed box to drag etc which is what I had expected. Any clues please? Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
Hi Chris, the easiest way is probably to take the image into a simple graphics, package such as Paint, and use the resize option there. BEB
Chris 'Chops' Dore
Ok BEB, I'll try that, not sure what size it needs to be but I guess square is right shape. Chris D
Chris 'Chops' Dore
So I tried resizing the image to amke it square, it is already below 500kb. I uploaded the image then tried to same thumbnail but get a message that I should crop or resize the piccie but I cannot find a way of doing this. Am I being stupid (probably)? anyone able to help? Martyn K
I recommend irfanview as a free editor/resizer/converter for windoze boxes. Get it here It's brilliant ,easy to use and very fast and also supports batch processing etc. Martyn
