BIll Corbin
I just can,t visualise a Tiggie attacking a battlewagon, although as I'm often told at the field that the way I fly my ARC Cessna 177 at times merits a government health warning I could probably manage it on a reduced scale!Bill Corbin

monkeyhanger
This would be a good introduction to model flying (I've previously been cash and time poor!)I doubt a Moth was ever involved in "attacking" a battleship, but one, somewhere, must have flown near one! Frank Latham
Just after WW2 several of us would fly control line models at a local RNAS field. Sometimes one of the station off duty staff would stroll over to see what was what and we had a fine time listening to the wartime anecdotes as we supped our flasks of tea passing the cups around. One of the stories was of an attack patrol by TMs against submarines. There was a dreadful shortage in '40 of ordnance of any kind especially that capable of damaging a sub. But as the story teller said "The main idea was to frighten the b*****s " and that they did on several occasions. He did say that all sorts of junk was carried in case a sub was see. A favourite missile was a stout paper bag filled with garbage of all sorts, paint and manure apparently being highly favoured.

Robin Coombs
The Tiger is really a fantastic plane. It was the 2nd plane I ever flew in. At Youngsfield in cape Town in 1955 I went up in a tiger and took over the controls for a short time. What an experience for a teenager.Would love to have it but suppose being in SA I dont qualify due to postage etc.Cheers
