001
Getting back to the Hawk, what a cheap way to make a Red Arrows Diamond 4 (or Diamond 9!) with carbon tubes or fibreglass rods holding the formation together. With a big brushless + prop in front. I know it has been done before, but what a thought.

001
Having seen the demise of one of these Hawks last Thursday, I would encourage anyone that is flying one or about to, to check the security of the elevator spar/rod where it is glued into the foam elevator halves. Possibly needs reinforcing.
Myron Beaumont
Richard Thanks for the tip .I presume it flew OK before its"demise" ? Could not download yesterdays email from you for some reason & presume it was the same topic
001
Myron yes, and yes, a very experienced electric flyer, one very impressive (first) flight, until the earth came up to meet it.. One elevator had rotated around its shaft. At least all the internals were saved so basically a £20 replacement cost.
