JOHN ADAMS
Brian, Thank you for the info. I remember the Sprenbrook radio, many of the guys in the club I belonged to used it. I thought the Twister may have been painted, that is my prefered finish, just very time consuming and can work out quite heavy compared to film covering. Paint certainly lasts, I still have a Taurus which was nylon covered and painted and still looks good 40+ years later! The paint I used is no longer available but there are probably modern day alternatives. Thanks..
Sam Wragg
Re Challenger. That's the same colour scheme as my Tornado... used black & Oranges tissue + tuff-coat. Happy memories... yes it was definitely a golden era......skills learned never forgotten...... Todays models are just plug & play and no technical skill required (lost) Sam
terry westrop
Brian & I reckon this to be a first for a very long time; two Moonglows out on the flying field today, both in similar decor to that which Mike Birch employed on his. Giuseppe Ghisleri
A friend of mine who happens to be editor of the Italian modelling magazine " Modellismo " asked me to redraw plans for NOVI ARROW used by SouthAfrican modeller John Brink to compete at F3A WC held in Gorizia in 1973. I did it and the plan will be published in a future issue of the magazine. I have the attached picture I shot in Gorizia and are looking around for more. Does anyone know John e-mail ? Thanks. P.S. Still waiting for Capricorn International plans. Edited By Giuseppe Ghisleri on 12/03/2015 18:53:
