SAS Wildthing wind speed

Hi Stefano - thanks for reporting back and posting the pics!

I've never owned one but the first slope soarer I flew was a Wildthing. I'm primarily a power model flyer (occasionally helis too) but decided a few years ago I should have a look at slope soaring as I'd not done any before. I built a model from a free plan in an old RCM&E and took it to Thurnham to fly. Before flying it one of our club members gave me a quick go on his Wildthing to "show me the ropes" regarding flying on the slope before I maidened my own model.

Incidentally, the model I built was designed by an Italian! (Pink Raven, designed by Alberto Dotti)

And looking back at earlier posts in this thread, the Wildthing that I flew at Thurnham is the one in the video I posted towards the end of the first page of this thread.
