Barkston Warbirds April 13th and 14th 2013

Twas a very good day Saturday. Started off really bright, but the wind soon appeared.

I did not manage to fly as my DVIII really is not suited to the high winds. I did however catch up with a few old mates and took lots of pictures.

Lots more to come. Niel was of course there, and his efforts will make mine look really rather poor.

Danny.

Not my normal gear as I was road testing my Daughters camera with a view to changing mine..

Canon 600D

Canon EF 75-300mm 1:4-5.6 III.

I have been until recently using an Olympus E-450, but I have been dissapointed with the picture quality when compaired to the likes of Canon and Nikon.

Obviously light conditions have a large part to play. I just think the colour definition is better on the Canon.

I think sad to say I will be moving to the Canon Camp.

Edit.

Also considering that I had never used the camera before, I think the results are not to bad.

Great stuff Kev, I am firmly in the Nikon camp, but I am in the minority. At the Nats I was surrounded by Cannons and long white lenses

Light makes a huge difference to the shots, though I don't use the electronics other than autofocus, as I like to play with the depth of field and shutter speed.

Cheers

Danny
