Danny Fenton
Shame today was a write off due to the wind especially as I spent all night in the hotel with food poising Never mind roll on the next event Cheers Danny
Kevin Fairgrieve
Twas a very good day Saturday. Started off really bright, but the wind soon appeared. I did not manage to fly as my DVIII really is not suited to the high winds. I did however catch up with a few old mates and took lots of pictures. Lots more to come. Niel was of course there, and his efforts will make mine look really rather poor. Kev

Danny Fenton
Great pics Kev, now I am really annoyed that the new lens and I didn't make it on Saturday BEB's not looking, so it's safe to ask, what gear are you using? Cheers Danny
Kevin Fairgrieve
Danny. Not my normal gear as I was road testing my Daughters camera with a view to changing mine.. Canon 600D Canon EF 75-300mm 1:4-5.6 III. I have been until recently using an Olympus E-450, but I have been dissapointed with the picture quality when compaired to the likes of Canon and Nikon. Cannon Pic. Olympus Pic. Obviously light conditions have a large part to play. I just think the colour definition is better on the Canon. I think sad to say I will be moving to the Canon Camp. Edit. Also considering that I had never used the camera before, I think the results are not to bad. Danny Fenton
Great stuff Kev, I am firmly in the Nikon camp, but I am in the minority. At the Nats I was surrounded by Cannons and long white lenses Light makes a huge difference to the shots, though I don't use the electronics other than autofocus, as I like to play with the depth of field and shutter speed. Kevin Fairgrieve
There are still a few more to come. My personal favourite aeroplane of this era. Hawker Sea Fury. I really must watch out for stray buckets that cover landing lights. Kev Edited By Kevin Fairgrieve on 19/04/2013 21:41:
