Turbycat Posted June 22, 2013 Share Posted June 22, 2013 Should fly. I built a delta last year with a Thunder Tiger GP 25 on the front. That flew well but was no speed machine. It did have quite a thick section tho'. I upped the engine to a Jen 37 with a tuned pipe. Went some then!! Remember a delta will fly very slowly if required, as for landing, but be equally capable of using all the sky you have available and a few feet more!! Paul Marsh Posted June 22, 2013 Share Posted June 22, 2013 Will be a bit boring! Had a OS 40SF and made me yawn. Had trouble getting fast enough hand launch without it flopping on the ground. Put a SC 52 in it and much better. You can also do this: put TWO SC 52's one pulling and pushing. Vertical on one, imagine two going. Model met it's demise, but was a nightmare to launch safely... Peter Miller Posted June 23, 2013 Share Posted June 23, 2013 I remember a piece in RCM&E about 25 to 30 years ago. Bloke launched a pusher with an Irvine 40 in it. Took three fingers clean off.
