Frank Skilbeck Posted June 24, 2013 Share Posted June 24, 2013 The wing section is very thin, electric retracts will be a bit of a squeeze. The air retracts worked well, just the soft wire joiner between the oleo and retract unit which would bend on anything other than a perfect landing on a smooth surface. Yeah the wing section is incredibly thin so maybe i'm not gonna find anything. I'd probably wreck them anyway lol. One bad landing etc..... Frank Skilbeck Posted June 26, 2013 Share Posted June 26, 2013 Kit the Viper flies well just quite fast, if you fly off a paved runway or bowling green quality grass then they will be fine, but if it's a bumpy strip the combination of speed and small wheel size doesn't do the wheels much good. After bending the undercarriage on mine several times the wing structure final gave way and the wheel mount broke on take off............ But it is a great flier, I've ripped the fan, retracts and flight lipo out of mine to use it as a PSS as I reckon I'll get more chance to fly it like that than from the required runway.
