Tony F
I've seen a few of you using a fuselage/wing jig , can someone point me in the right direction to purchasing one please ?Tony
kevin b
Hi Tony. Slec do a jig "kit" if you look on their website. This is what a lot use and mine is based on. You will need to buy a base board though. If you want to go the DIY route P.M. me. kevinb.
Jon Laughton
As has already been said the one you most of all in pics is the SLEC jig - easy to make up with the right sized piece of board / mdf...and they sell additional parts for it... Robert Parker
Hi Tony, I use as the others have said. I bought the brackets, bolts and grid (self adhiesive plastic sheet) from SLEC and stuck it onto a 15" wide X 48" long conti board from my local DIY store. Still going strong after 20 years + Regards Robert

Stevo
+1 for SLEC. Use good quality plywood - I braced mine with 3x2 as well. However, you will have to buy more captive nuts as they don't suplly the whole lot...
Andy Butler
I use the SLEC one too. I bought a bag of 100 M4 or M5 (I can't remember off hand) captive nits from EvilBay for less than a fiver. Mines mounted on a bit of melamine faced shelving too. Highly recommend it.
Glyn R
I use a SLEC. The grid is really useful to square everything up. The brackets are good although you need to check for vertical, they are a bit flexible. I use mine to line up tailplanes and evertyhing else. You need to buy a bit of good plywood or use MDF. I find the fuse can stay in place even if you move the board.
Pete B
They are M5, Andy. I used an 18mm melamine ex-desk top for mine and the supplied M5s were too short, so I bought a bag of, IIRC, 30mm bolts. I have some square section steel tube as runners under the board which provided the necessary standoff to accommodate the longer bolts.
