ENGINE FOR ATILLA

Mine flew very nicely on an OS 20 4-stroke, so a 30 should be more than adequate. I used the 16% heli fuel I had (Bekra 16) and the engine ran fine on that. Like most heli fuels, its pure synthetic - no castor at all - so you don't get the varnish building up (helis and 4-strokes run hotter than normal 2-strokes in fixed-wing aircraft). Never had any issues with it.

Use a large-ish diameter prop - I used a 10x5, though you'll probably need bigger with a 30 - as otherwise most of the prop disk is obscured by the fuselage.

OS FS 20s are wonderful little engines but they command high prices. You could try an OS FS 26 which is only 4 grams heavier at 271 g than the 20 but significantly lighter than a 30. The 26s usually sell much cheaper. Both are out of production but come up frequently on Ebay. Spares are readily available.
