Hi I'm trying a bit of indoor flying ...... the wife bought me a flyzone SE5a and the anylink 2 (Birthday)......powerd everything up.......all works as expected for a mode 2 tranny. My question is...as the SE5a is rudder/elevator can the Dx9 be programmed to give me ele/rudder together on the right hand stick like I had on my first trainer........as apposed to the usuall set up. The model is a PNP so swapping servo leads is not an option.......can any one help or do you have another way around this prob .Thanks for any help you can give

It might be worth trying the following....

Go to System Setup, then Channel Assign. In Rx Port Assignments, swap the assignments for channels 2 and 4, i.e., 2 AILE - Rudder and 4 RUDD - Aileron.

Checking on the monitor screen, that moves the rudder to the right hand stick and the aileron to the left.

A bit of a shot in the dark but it may work...smile

Dave...thanks for your reply.......to recap it's not the actual mode I wish to change......just would like to operate the rudder from the aileron stick rather than elevator on the right stick and rudder on the left.......if a mode change will do this then you will have to forgive me........DX is only weeks old and I am an old man....cheers

Just do an aileron rudder mix (Coupled Aileron & Rudder), set it too 100% and at 100% aileron movement you'll get 100% rudder movement. The rudder will then move on both sticks, but that should work for what you want.

I've done it on 3 channel planes where I can't train my right hand to steer the plane on the ground!

Flight report for you Frank........after one or two teething problems......the model looks and fly's great in hands of a more accomplished indoor flyer.....(thanks Bob )......for a tiny model it fly's quite fast, so walls arrive in front of you all too soon but managed to avoid them.......I think I should find my self a model that's a little more forgiving to get me in the grove of indoor flying......that said I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and only suffered the loss of one wheel due to a heavy landing.....a little repair work and (in the words of Arnie) I'll be back. Thanks for your input and interest

Regards Kev.
