avtur
Just seen on the Horizon Hobby Facebook page the introduction of the E-flite Whipet ... a 620mm span micro DLG, looks like it could be a delight on those warm summer evenings. Can't find anything on YouTube just yet but my experience of the Horizon Hobby/Eflite models is very good, I think I'll be along to SWM as soon as they are in stock. A far cry from building KK Ajax, Senator and Caprice for sure but its all about getting models in the air. DLG, 620mm span and radio controlled ... who would have thought it ? Chris Bott - Moderator
Horizon seem to have announced a couple of new models. Whipit does look nice as does the Rare Bear
scott finnie
I have a question on these dlg gliders. I've noticed the tail hangs low! Does it not get damaged on landing? That rarebare has a nice colour scheme tooScott
Chris Jones 7
I've been looking out for a Whipit for a couple of years! Perfect model to take to the RC Hotel on holiday! Scott, the low hanging vertical stabiliser is prone to the odd knock on DLGs but it is needed to counter rotational forces on launch and the models are so light with so little inertia that unless your unlucky and hit a rock or log there is generally no damage. I've caused more damage on my Blaster getting it in and out of the van!
Wilco Wingco
Does anybody know where I can get spare batteries in the UK for this model?. Nano-Tec 160mah
Denis Watkins
You need to look Wilco, as I don't know your connector **LINK**
Wilco Wingco
Thanks Denis but I have already done the search. They are all either unavailable or from the USA with postage costing more than the item in most cases. That's why I specified "in the UK"
John Robertson 3
These: https://www.banggood.com/180mAh-3_7V-1S-50C-Lipo-Battery-For-E-flite-Blade-Nano-CPX-Inductrix-Tiny-Whoop-RC-Quadcopter-p-1105309.html?rmmds=search&cur_warehouse=CN or larger capacity: https://www.banggood.com/Charsoon-3_8V-250mah-30C-60C-1S-HV-4_35V-Lipo-Battery-PH2_0-Plug-p-1141243.html?cur_warehouse=CN I've used both in my UMX Radian, very successfully. Not from UK, of course, but I doubt if they were made in the UK and the postage won't break the bank!
