Anti vibration mounts

Some time ago I purchased some anti-vibration mounting bolts with large rubber inserts & metal washers for installation in the firewalls for IC engines of different sizes from Apacheaviation.co.uk. There no longer seems to be a functioning website with that address...

Does anyone know what happened to them - did they change their name or have they stopped ttrading? Also where is it possible to source these types of mounts...?

(I am aware that Dubro make complete metal mounts with rubber anti vibration fittings attached but that is not what I was looking for)

Thanks

Jon

Jon - SLEC bought the Apache Aviation kits a couple of years ago when Mike retired but until fairly recently the Apache website was still running and Mike was still selling the anti-vibration mounts through it. Don't know if his email at [email protected] is still working but worth a try. Alternatively, the nice chaps at SLEC may be able to help.

Rawl nuts is a trade name for well nuts.

Well nuts are not particularly strong (but strong enough for our application), but are useful for sealing holes and/or isolating vibrations.

i have used this method for years and is very good and cheep solution, I have also used the 'apache ' one's and they have worked well too

Well Nuts? Where's Sid James when you need him!!!

Decided upon M4 x 14mm Well nuts, 10 for £4 on eBay. Also Some rubber washers, £1.60 for 10, again eBay. So, for under 1/2 price compared to  'another vendor' I get over double the number!

Engine mounts is...

For the Laser, as it's a narrow body (35mm)but the bearers need to be lllooonnnggg...!
