Andy Green
Hi Steve Just turn up. I think there are rules about crossing the runway, one of the others will be able to fill you in there. Just a case of flashing your lights and waiting to be waved in I think. Andy

Morgan Goule
is it a weekend do ? or just the sunday , I should be coming either way as its only 44.6 miles from me
Martyn K
Its Sunday only. The format is a Fly-in - a very relaxed day where flyers can demonstrate their Classic - typically pre-19885-ish (no hard and fast rules) models. They don't have to be Classic Aerobatic Models nor do you have to be a UKCAA member- however you may get your arm twisted if not.. Best wishes Martyn
Bob Cotsford
On previous visits there has been a welcome committee at the entrance who would escort you round to the club's flying area. When crossing the end of the runway without an escort I've stopped short on the peritrack, checked both ways for aircraft approaching or taking off and if all is clear drive across - caution and common sense. Same applies passing the hangars, keep your eyes open and give way to anything moving.

Steve Dunning
EVENT UPDATE! Due to circumstances beyond any individual's control, this event has had to be postponed. I've tried to give as much notice as possible. PB is looking into re-organising the event for later in the year so it is not 'lost'. Sorry for any inconvenience caused to anybody. Martyn K
Hi Steve Apologies, I have very busy this week on the run up to holidays and forgot to do the update. It was a superb day at Sleap, bright cloudy sunshine all day, Wind from the south so quite warm - although across the runway we use, but gusting 8-12kts maximum. Very smooth air as you would expect in the middle of an airfield. Unfortunately, attendance wasn't very good, possibly due to having to reschedule the date and that we are now in the middle of holiday and show season, however, numbers were made up be Sleap MFC members who came along for the fun. Once again, many thanks to Sleap MFC for hosting us again, I always consider that Sleap is the spiritual home of the UKCAA as the group was formed after the first retro fly-in held here 3 years ago. The next event is Watford on the 16th August, hopefully a better turn out from the Southern based members. Martyn
