One of my best childhood memories, is when i was about ten years old.My dad was a member of the flying club at leicester airport, and he was in charge of the pleasure flights on the day of the air display.We set up our tent on the front of the spectator line on the friday night.Suddenly there was an almighty roar over head, as a sea fury flew, very low over head, and proceede to give us the best flying display i have ever seen to this day.You just couldnot get away with flying so low and fast these days.the pilot landed eventualy and taxied into park in front of the tent, he had a cup of tea with us, and let me sit in the cockpit, before being wisked off to a nearby hotel for the night.Needless to say this 10 yearold did not want to sleep that night.And in the morning i helped the pilot with his pre-flight walk around.Ahh the memories of it.Sorry but i had to share this with youWhat a machineRegards Chris Fisher Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
