Simon B
I've got a soft spot for scale gliders, but a lot seem to be a bit heavier. I'd like something that will thermal with ease, can do mild aeros and will hold its own on the slope. Am I asking for too much from one model? Simon B
Good call. I was wondering about that or the KA8. Have you got the Pilatus?
KiwiKid
The B4 is a great flying model and reasonably priced. It does have one slight design issue: Nothing that can't be fixed, but forewarned is forearmed. What sort of wingspan are you thinking of? The Seagull K-8s are nice, but have the same wing issue to fix. The 3.5m Phoenix Ka-8B (from Staufenbiel) is great, but can also do with a strengthened wing. Good value for money and can be setup for towing or powered flight. Great thermaler and does a passable job as a sloper https://vimeo.com/115836314 Edited By KiwiKid on 30/05/2016 22:21:24 Edited By KiwiKid on 30/05/2016 22:23:
Simon B
I was thinking about 3m span. That wing weakness is concerning. I'd rather spend a bit more if that is a common fault.
