fly boy3
Hi all, my youngest grandson wants me to purchase a budget fob key camera to attatch to my model to take shots of him flying. LoL I am not the brightest at IT, and can only manage to up load from my Cannon camera to my old PC.(XP) .Can any go through the procedure for me please. Would I have to buy a mini card for the camera. Thanks

Simon Chaddock
fly boy3 They have no internal memory so a micro SD card is required. The key fob cameras are very basic so Windows should recognise it as a new device as soon as it is plugged in to any USB port with the cable provided. ted hughes
I have had very mixed success with these keyfob cameras- there is one type that works, and a lot of clones that don't, in my personal experience. I don't have access to my PC at the moment, but I remember that there is (or was) a thread on RCGroups about them, that enabled me to get the right one, it cost about £20 as I recall. Fun Flyer
I'd advise you to read this; http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1556994 Its long but well worthwhile. The vendors mentioned are reliable and in my experience deliver a good service. I wasted money on a lot of ebay rubbish before I found this. KiwiKid
I have had the same experience FunFlyer. It's one of those "get what you pay for" things. I have had a lot of fun with my Mobius tacked on different models. **LINK** Edited By KiwiKid on 25/06/2016 23:10:
Simon Chaddock
Yes you get what you pay for but putting a camera on a plane is a risk. At £2.67 (plus £3.23 for a micro SD card) all post free It is risk I am quite happy to take. Over 5 years I have lost 1 (with its plane!) and 1 failed by water ingress. I have about 240 videos taken by them.
David perry 1
Aghh yes, my failing memory. There was an SD card. Frankly, having done cameras to death, my sons settled on Hobby kings GoPro clone, Turnigy HD. Cheap but excellent. D
