I use Windows Defender which is built into Windows 10( you just need to activate it) and its free never any issues i have noticed and then I run the free version of malwarebytes from time to time, also to keep things clean i have ccleaner to clean things up from time to time, with the last two if you pay then it ithey run automaticly I do the same as you, flight1. I use the free MS Defender with Win 10, and run a free Malwarebytes scan to catch PUPs.

  3. After all, the "experts" said Donald Trump would not get elected as President, and here he is as an a example of how the common man can shine as a great leader and intellectual business man, a "genius" as he describes himself. We all feel humbled in his presence.
  4. I concede, and go with the weight of opinion. It's like arguing about Brexit, we all "know" we will be better off out of the EU, the only people who say we will be worse off are "experts". And what do they know, hey?
  5. Obviously no one on this forum understands the difference between primary sources and secondary sources.

Romans ? what did they ever do for us. The reason why we got the Elgin marbles from Greece and the Needle from Egypt was because we were civilized and were beginning to understand art and history. Earlier societies did not care, such as the English destroying Hadrian's Wall to build cattle sheds. We took these items to preserve them. Primary sources are precious. History is not important to most people, it seems.

But we have everything to complain about. History should teach us:that was then, hopefully we do things differently now. If we can't learn from history, it is a very poor situation. The Kittyhawk was one of the most complete, primary resource, artefact, discovered from WW11. Now it has been destroyed by morons. That's jingoistic nonsense. The aircraft in question is simply an example of a particular weapon of war that's been well documented. The real tragedy is that search for Sergeant Copping's remains was badly mishandled. Instead of offering a Spitfire perhaps we should have offered to return some of the many ancient Egyptian artefacts that we still hold in museums & private collections. Sort of tit for tat, you think? We destroyed your things in the past,so you can now destroy ours? Okay......

Have you misread the product description or have I misunderstood. Yes, I misread. He is just factoring in his profit margin. We all have to make a living. Edited By ted hughes on 04/01/2018 13:12:52
  10. TG9e servos available online at £1.98 at Hobby king, however you can snap up a bargain on eBay at £11.25 each! Be quick, over 300 already sold!:**LINK** Seller says the servo has the same performance as servos 10x the price- I doubt many modellers use £110 servos! Edited By ted hughes on 04/01/2018 12:48:23
  11. I think the restoration is an absolute tragedy. A plane found in a time capsule 70 years after it was lost has been patched and repainted in a garish way to represent a generic Kittyhawk. I don't suppose it can be used as an historical reference now. I'm pleased we still have the Spit, if Cuban8 is right.
  12. The Kitty hawk has been ruined- and we paid a Spitfire for it, too:**LINK**
  13. https://youtu.be/g_cOScwwZwg   I have forgotten how to post videos, but this shows a drone application designed to save lives. Edited By ted hughes on 16/11/2017 22:15:42
  14. Posted by i12fly on 21/10/2017 19:12:38: ........ 3 curses on the rogue company who carefully pretend to be from Dyson but aren't. I would name them but I guess that could cause legal problems. Oh and the service they did was non existant there was fluff and dirt all round the O ring and inside the machine. Beware!! If they stung you for £165 why would you want to protect them?
  15. Posted by Stevo on 23/10/2017 07:39:07: Not to suprising that the Admins aint keen.. All I really ask for is just a confirmation that someone has read the post and found it helpful, and is following. It's not that hard. Likening it to FB and poularity contests is not at all helpful. A like or thank you button would be very useful- especially on build blogs. Edited By ted hughes on 23/10/2017 09:20:58
  16. You can get good bargains from these follow-up emails. If a store notices you nearly bought something, they will often be prepared to haggle over the price, and chase you up (it is all automated)! Some people are a bit too suspicious of phishing.
  17. I never comment on build-blogs but I find them fascinating.   (I used to build (badly) years ago, now we have RTFs and seem to have less time.) Some of the models in the blogs are absolute master pieces.   Edited By ted hughes on 23/10/2017 09:14:57
  18. Posted by Peter Christy on 18/10/2017 08:58:25: Last summer, I treated SWMBO to a new (small!) car. She'd only had it a couple of weeks when someone reversed into her. Luckily I'd fitted a dashcam, so there was clear evidence of where the fault lay. The local bump specialist quoted £120 to fix the minor damage. The other party denied liability and insisted on it going through the insurance (I don't think he knew about the dashcam). My wife needs her car for work, so the insurers agreed to provide a loan car whilst hers was fixed. They sent two drivers from the nearest major town (where their repair centre was) - one to collect our car, the other to transport the collection driver - about an hour each way. The next day a loan car arrived, again two vehicles, one to pick up the delivery driver. The car was in the workshop for a week. (The damage was so trivial that the local bump specialist had said we could have it back the same day!) Then when our car was fixed, the whole procedure was repeated! I don't know how much that all cost, but just the cost of the delivery drivers alone must have been several times the cost of the repair at the local bump doctors! Then the insurance company started saying the other driver was still contesting the claim, despite us already having sent them clear evidence of liability (dashcam footage) twice! I've now sent it FOUR times, both to their "secure" website upload facility, and on a DVD recorded delivery! As far as I am aware, the dispute is still going on! Between the sheer waste of resources and total incompetence on behalf of the insurers, it is no wonder that premiums are sky-high!!! -- Pete Why didn't you wait for the insurance to be sorted before going ahead with repair? I'm sure the other party will argue he was hit from behind.
  19. Posted by brokenenglish on 12/10/2017 20:32:55: Posted by Piers Bowlan on 12/10/2017 19:51:54: Did somebody actually buy the $90 Black Widow? Not yet Piers. It's still on sale at the moment. With the selling format adopted, I think the guy will leave it on sale for a week or two, and then let it go for the best offer he receives, but we won't have any way of knowing what the actual sale price was ... You can do an advanced search for sold items to see what items go for. A NIB Black Widow goes for about £35-£45.
  20. Cox International usually have a lot of spares:**LINK**
  21. I have a lot of sympathy with delivery people. Some of the large carriers employ them on zero hour contracts and even make them pay for the decals on their vans. They have to do a lot of deliveries to make a living. If I make an internet purchase of a large item, I find it most convenient to arrange a pick up at Argos or somewhere, in my own time.
  22. This seller is selling copies of Phoenix :**LINK**? I have just sent him a message asking if he also sends the Phoenix dongle with the disc, as the sim won't work without it.
  23. When did we ever see a thread saying "my Futaba radio is problematic"? Maybe once in a blue moon. Edited By ted hughes on 08/09/2017 14:30:14
  24. Posted by Trevor Crook on 08/09/2017 13:57:48: Where did that carefully researched figure come from? This forum, very recently. There was a poll to which almost 1000 members responded (which is statistically very significant), which showed just under 30% of UK RC flyers use Spektrum. Almost 100% of radio problems involve Spektrum (there are whole threads dedicated to Spectrum problems on here and RCG,and no threads dedicated to Futaba,JR,Frsky, Hitec, multiplexetc. or any other makes). It is not rocket science. I understand why, Spektrum is very well marketed with BNF and Txs costing less than £100, it's the old mantra, buy cheap, buy twice.   Edited By ted hughes on 08/09/2017 14:26:08 Edited By ted hughes on 08/09/2017 14:28:02
