Tony H
Hi Guys,I've been flying my Akrostar a while now but one thing really bugs me. Which is when I do a Loop the Loop it doesn't track straight it tends to twist to the left. Usually this means one wing is heavier than the other but it isn't. Could it be some kind of tourque roll as I fitted a slightly over powered engine. If it is would using a smaller prop help? What are your thoughts guys?Tony H
Nigel R
Does it do it if you fly the loop fast and slow? How straight is the wing? A small warp would promote this kind of thing. Elevator setup, if using a joiner, how rigid is it? If it allows one side to move less under air pressure, that would promote a roll. If the sidethrust is off, you may have rudder trim which could promote a roll in one direction or the other. I'm sure there are other possibilities... Denis Watkins
I would count myself lucky not to have inputs during a loop Breeze alone could prevent an hands off approach If the tendancy is consistent, then put a touch of rudder trim the opposite way

Steve Hargreaves - Moderator
Is it IC? If so how is the engine mounted? If it's sideways could the imbalance skew the loop? When you loop you do pull a fair few g which would magnify any weight imbalance...
