Robert Cracknell
Can anyone explain what Photobucket is, why I need to upgrade my account to use it and, more importantly, how the hell do you do it..!! I have tried but nothing seems to happen. Help please (in simple to follow steps)

SR 71
Don't bother with photo bucket, a lot of people are leaving it as now they want money of you to use the photos you put on there, apparently there are better site on the net
Cuban8
No more free third party hosting from PB, hence why so many websites are showing the dreaded 'upgrade your Photobucket account' instead of images. You can still get free access to your account's pictures stored with them though. Plenty of other free sites are available.
Tony Harrison 2
Assuming that Photobucket is another image storage/exchange thingy, you don't have to pay: try DropBox, which I find useful sometimes professionally. The basic free option gives me all the data storage I ever require for uploading images to clients. Another such is WeTransfer, though I have less experience of that. rgds Tony
Simon Chaddock
The real issue comes down to copyright. When you sign up to this Photobucket you are transferring the copyright of down loaded pictures to them so you have to pay them to use 'their' picture on another web site. This has always been the case but as Photobucket did not charge to do this few read the small print. This does raise the question that if you down load a picture to another site that you have already down loaded to Photobucket are you in breach of their copyright?
