David Thomas 1
I have a Futaba T6EX and would like a 3 position switch on it so that I could use flaps in different positions. Would it be possible to modify my tx?
CARPERFECT
No. the switch is only activating a program in the tx. the tx would have the program in it
David Thomas 1
Thank you for that. Looks like I will have to do without multi position flaps.
Frank Skilbeck
David, I am not a 6EX expert, but on my old Spektrum Dx6i which only has 2 position switches for flap and retract I mixed retract into flap, then I got partial flap with either Flap or Retract switch then Flaps fully deployed with the Flap and Retract switch The plane had retracts so for take off with the wheels down I had partial flap, on landing approach I would lower the wheels and simultaneously get partial flap and on final approach switch in full flap. I've got a more sophisticated radio now, but this approach did work.
David Thomas 1
Thanks for that Frank, it is worth looking into.
Frank Skilbeck
BTW I used one of the Turnigy 3 channel servo slow/reverse gadgets to drive both flap servos, so the flaps went up and down slowly and also reversed the direction of one of the flap servos as the model had two flap servos.
