SUNDAY 13 MAY 2018 KEN BONES MEMORIAL OPEN DAY SUNDAY 3 JUNE SCALE DAY SUNDAY 5 AUGUST GLIDER DAY SUNDAY 14 OCTOBER LARGE MODEL DAY We are also hosting 2 BMFA Competitions, these being SCALE (FLYING ONLY) (ie no static judging) - probably on a Sunday in August, date to be advised AEROBATICS - probably on a Saturday in October, date to be advised Brief explanation: Ken Bones was a Club Member of approx 24/25 years standing who had taught a large number of Members to fly and improve their flying. Ken passed away suddenly one morning at a relatively very young age. His Family requested an Open Day. You may note that there is no Open Electric Day in 2018 - this is because our original Electric Day was back in the 1980's when electric power for models was in its infancy. We hosted the day as a "theatre" for the latest developments. Because electric power trains have evolved so far now, nothing much is "new".
