kc Posted April 11, 2018 Share Posted April 11, 2018 It appears from the plan and photos that F1 goes between the sides, therefore it looks OK as drawn on the plan if you cut F1 to the width shown on the righthand side ( double the width from centre line =83mm at that point ) The construction of the sides is shown on the lefthand of F1. F1 appears to glue onto the 1/32 ply doublers. Note that the magazine photo of F1 shows two notches which are not on the plan (for stringers like the notches on F2) seems the only error I can see. kc Posted April 11, 2018 Share Posted April 11, 2018 On a second look the height of F1 is correct but maybe the overhanging top shape has the notches cut in the wrong place - maybe needs a filler piece of about 3mm to compensate. It's also worth saying that the wingspan is actually 58 inches not the 48 inches printed on the plan! Hope that does not come as a nasty shock to anyone with a small car!
