Tim Flyer
Hi all . One of my friends at my club bought a Hoby King DG808 3m glider second hand a while back . Unfortunately he was promised a canopy by the seller but it never materialised. Anyway he would like to buy a new one but this model is discontinued now as it’s a bit old. Can anyone offer any help or suggestions where he should look. Thank you all in advance. ..Happy Gliding! Tim
Peter Miller
VortexVacform have a huge range of canopies. They won't have the Hobby King one but perhaps something that could be adapted to fit **LINK**

onetenor
In lihjt In light of Roo's post buy a DANISH or similar from Tesco. The container it comes in is half- way towards a cnopy already.......heat it and pull it round the form and it will shrink to it . Make sure you leave extra depth on the form to allow trimming to size etc. It is thin to start but thickens as it shrinks. Good luck John O/T In ligh
Tim Flyer
Thanks again for the help. It’s sounds quite interesting to make. My friend just wanted to say the glider is actually the DG808 4 meter not 3m model. Anyway Thanks for advice... sounds like we need a Danish!
