I received the model on saturday (  at Bournemouth's air show)  but didn't get a chance to have a look till today this is a builders model but very nice it was well packed and arrived undamaged so well done SMC the cut parts seemed to be well cut and the wood looks like a good grade.there are 3 plan sheets one for the fuselage one for the wings and one for the engine installation, which is useful when i start  to in stall and possably change the engines up so far i,m impressed .

also dose anyone know what happen to the DH89 that use to fly round  mount Snowdon.

On the advise of a fellow member I did a more through check of the kit and found that most of the problems he had encounterd were also inhearant in My kit. On the lazer cut parts one of the ribs is not inclueded, even if it was printed it would not be there, also the 1/16th blasa strip was twisted and cut badley and had to be replaced (now done ) the fellow member had by all acounts been through talk to the seller (not the same place as i got mine from) and then talk to the manafactuor the useal backwards and forwards . These are only small points but they can add up but other wise i hope this will turn in to a good model .

time to stop my moaning and get on with some work

all the best

Just found this thread. I have a Dumas kit as well, waiting to be started. There's a few threads on RC Groups website. Try these:

I have this kit and at the motor mounting stage but have been trying to work out best way to mount them.  George at 4-Max sold me a bundle that he recommends for this kit and it included 2 x PPOM-2314-2400 Brushless Motors which have a mounting cross to be fixed to the rear of the motor.  Offering them to the plan, they seem to fit inside the outline of the fairing but I have to construct a firewall to bolt the cross to. Has anyone mastered this and can suggest the best way to do it whilst saving weight?
