Douglas Wheelhouse 1
Hi to all. I have just bought a Hobbywing 60amp esc second hand from ebay. The vendor said it was in perfect working order & I have no reason to doubt him. I cannot get anything to work, the motor & esc emit 10 slow low beeps then a few seconds pause then it repeats. Also there is no power to the receiver. Can anyone help Douglas

Douglas Wheelhouse 1
Thanks for that, tried that but no power to the receiver. If I disconnect the esc I can still hear feint beeps
Bob Cotsford
Are you sure it's the version of the esc that has a BEC built in? There's also an opto version that needs a separate receiver battery.
Douglas Wheelhouse 1
Hi Bob, I think it has a built in bec. It has a damaged orange label so cant see Douglas
colin weaver
Does this ESC look genuine? It is a HobbyWING UBEC 60 AMP operating at circa 53 KHz re the UBEC. It reduces the radio range big time on 35 MHz. I have a switch in the positive line, and the signal and negative are not switched but permanently connected to the Dual Conversion Futaba FP-R138DF Rx chanel 3 (Throttle) regards, colin weaver Edited By colin weaver on 29/03/2019 00:57:
Denis Watkins
Douglas, with a multi function ESC, ie, fixed wing or heli are completely different set ups It is very easy to go wrong on the set up set up sequence The instructions are very clear on power up, high stick Tx, beeps etc etc etc Go through it again, following the sheet
Nigel R
IIRC the 10 beeps is a 'no signal from rx' error. What type of ESC is it, hobbywing have made a good few models.
