David Soper
The servos on my model are what i describe as 'stepping' not 100% proportional to stick movement, does anyone know why and what i can do about it?
Chris Bott - Moderator
Hi David we probably need a little more information such as which type of connection do you have between servo and control surface? But first you could disconnect your pushrods/snakes at the servo end and see if the servos still do it with nothing to pull/push. (No load)
David Soper
I have disconnected push rods so there is no load and they still seem to step, on all my other models servos are smooth, just cant work out why on this model they are not. Bob Cotsford
It would help to know what radio system, power supply and model of servo you have, have you tried plugging that servo into a different receiver or plugging a known good servo into your current setup. It could be the servos, the battery or the receiver at fault. It might even be that what you are seeing is normal if it's a particularly cheap setup. Are you setting it up next to a wifi station etc.?
Denis Watkins
Your servos are Digital David, in the Parkzone model, and susceptible to a change in frame rate from the transmitter, which should be set at 11ms Edited By Denis Watkins on 11/09/2018 15:13:
Bob Cotsford
What's this Denis, are you really Mystic Meg under a nom de plume? Or has the OP given a clue elsewhere? Edited By Bob Cotsford on 11/09/2018 15:35:
Denis Watkins
Stuck my neck out Bob, as Horizon do the model in the title. Hope it is that one?
David Soper
None of this is helpfull lol.. Its a Horizon Hobby model, using spectrum radio DX6 and Rx AR636. Its a bind and fly so everything pre installed. The servos should not 'step' so something is amiss
Denis Watkins
IThe DX6 Frame Rate menu enables you to change the frame rate and modulation mode. Select the option you wish to change and press the scroll wheel. You must use digital servos if you select 11ms frame rate. Analog and digital servos can be used with a 22ms frame rate Edited By Denis Watkins on 11/09/2018 16:48:
Denis Watkins
In system set up on the DX6, the frame rate can be altered
