Don Fry
Why not put the receivers into bind mode. Put the transmitter into bind mode. Walk away 3 meters. Try to bind. If that fails three times, that transmitter won't do DSM2. They are made in China. All are imported. A possible is, to satisfy your curiosity, contact Horizon, with your serial number, compatible or not?
flyeruk
Thanks Don.Will do that tomorrow when i get home.Away at the moment.
Richard Wills 2
On the model number sticker on the back of the TX, the letters EU will be at the end of the model number if it is a post 2015 EU DSMX only model.

flyeruk
Just had a look at the frame rate in the menu, its switchable between dsmx and dsm2.Assume then that its compatible with the AR7000?Silly question then,do i need to switch between the two, depending on type of receiver i iam using? flyeruk
Ok,i have done a bind between the AR7000 and the DX6.All seems to bind ok.The problem now is,when i move the sticks, the receiver is intermittent,ie,light switching on and off and receiver cutting in and out.I have tried binding another DSM2 and the same problem!I haven't got a DSMX receiver to try it out with as yet. flyeruk
Just rebound to my old DX6I and the receivers are fine?
flyeruk
Just realised i had a Lemon DSMX receiver. Bound to the DX6,same problem.Move the sticks, receiver cuts out?Any ideas?
Don Fry
Broken TX? If your RX battery/switch is good, what else is there.

Denis Watkins
Posted by flyeruk on 25/09/2018 19:35:23: Just rebound to my old DX6I and the receivers are fine? Early DX6i were DSM2, so will bind with AR7000 But, later DX6i, are like your DX6, and can be set to both. As Don says, test battery fully, don't assume it is OK, and the switch for continuity on all pins Edited By Denis Watkins on 25/09/2018 20:03:
flyeruk
I have bypassed the switch,so thats ruled out, also have used 3 different batteries and still the same problem.
Denis Watkins
Is a stalled servo cutting the power as you come to that stick?
flyeruk
Looks like problem found.Dennis, got myself in a right old pickle, thought i had bypassed the switch harness, but i hadnt.Just plugged straight into the receiver, its working perfectly. Thanks for all your inputs;feel a bit of a numpty now!!
Denis Watkins
You did the right thing, reporting your findings The big clue was the RX flashing led The Tx could not do that, only an interrupted supply could do that
