ericrw Posted October 1, 2018 Author Share Posted October 1, 2018 Thanks for your quick response ! It is for an E-Flite Apprentice, which is made of Z-foam. The label only states Solarfilm. There is no finish on the wing. I lost it in the sky because of the white colour and intend to put a dark cover on the underside of the wings. Dave Hess Posted October 1, 2018 Share Posted October 1, 2018 Solarfilm will probably be OK if you have a proper Solarfilm iron or one that has really good low temperature control. The glue activates at a relatively low temperature. If you're just adding graphics to a model, you don't need/want to heat it up to shrinking temperature. If you have some scrap Solafilm, try putting some very hot water in a jamjar to test it on somewhere where any damage won't show. A small piece will be pretty easy to peal back off.
