Gary Murphy 1
Been away from the hobby for a fair while and not used my spectrum gear for longer than that! I have some small park fly receivers with no satalite socket BUT I have several larger 6 and 8 channel receivers with a satalite socket BUT I can not find the satalites. Can I run these without the satalite? I know the range will be less BUT its for surface use only

Paul Marsh
The Ar8000 won't work without a Sat, neither will the 7010 - they have been designed to work with them, the only exceptions is where on the larger receivers, such as the 9ch where they can take 4 sats, but are supplied with 3, with the option of adding a 4th. The 6210 will work, as the older 6200, but not really recommended...
Don Fry
Fit a battery, bind, and see. For surface work at safe speeds it won't cause harm.
Gary Murphy 1
It will be at safe speeds,it will go in a Scania semi truck,1/14th scale! I have a 6110 and 6200,the hard cased 6200 was my preferred but has the satalite port, I will do as suggested and bind and see what happens.
