Engine Doctor
Hi Colin . Yes I new George well and still see his son Alan at his shop down the road. (Weston UK) George built my first Rx that I mentioned from the RCM&E plan. Alan still does fast IC boats and is perfecting a Pylon boat that he made a custom engine for . John the postie was getting on and his health was failing when I knew him . He regularly gave me odd bits of new at the tjme radio gear that he couldn't get on with and was amazed when I got it going , but he wouldn't take it back . " new fangled rubbish " he called it . Colin Carpenter
Thanks Phil for the memories ! I tend not to dwell on the past but enjoyed Clapham Long Pond times very much ! Bristol Docks followed in 1975 ! It's been a long and very expensive hobby ! No pockets in shrouds !!😀 Colin
