Paul Bromley
Probably a silly question but here goes : I am building a four engined aircraft with four esc with bec. I am not using the bec's but will be pairing throttles together via a y lead i.e. two outer and two inner motors. I propose to disconnect the positive wire at the Y lead (No BEC) but effectively joining the positives from each pair of esc together at the Y? I am wondering is this an issue ? I wanted to leave the positive wire intact on each throttle then I can disconnect the Y lead and use a programmer on each ESC should I need to! I hope I have explained my question. Thanks Paul. Dad_flyer
You want to leave the ESC leads unchanged for programming. The different BECs may cope being connected together, without a load, but may not. You could take the positive wire out if of each socket input to the Y leads instead. Then the BECs are still not connected to eachother, but you butchered the Y lead instead of the lead from the ESC.
