Toni Clarke fuel tank - how do they go together ?

On advice I have purchased one of these for a petrol model. I need to assemble it but there are no instructions. Does the carb line just go in the middle of the cap? Do the two nipples go anywhere on the tank (top), and do I have to use any type of sealant?

The fuel supply to carb goes on the cap . the other two nipples are a filler/drain and a breather and can be fitted in any suitable side of the tank. . No sealer should be required if parts are seated correctly ,just snug them up with correct spanner. Tip when you run the breather tube out of the model insert a piece of tube that is crimped with a pin in it . remove the pin and this will allow tank to breath but reduce any spills

Thanks ED. It just occurred to me, How do you get the nut on the inside

Put a bit of soft wire or solder through the tank and slide the bits into position on the wire

how do you hold them to tighten? And presumably the washers go on the inside?

Oh put the nuts on the out side

Your not bolting the Fourth bridge ,,, don’t over tighten or you may cut a hole in the tank . Just nip it up.

could use pliers on the barb of the nipple just don’t sqash it or snag it

Of course I should have taken them out of the packet and had a look - bit of a hangover

ps I was stupid enough to camp at Brands Hatch last night with a few mates
