Geoff Gardiner
I may not be using all the throttle if it's too scary!
Peter Miller
That is a very pretty model. IT should not twitchy, it will be rock steady but I estimate it will be fast.
Tim Ballinger
Geoff, have you flown yours yet ? Mine headed for the sky’s last week for the first time, it was certainly very slippy well actually it was very very fast. Take off with very little breeze was at only 1/2 - 3/4 throttle. Only had 3 flights so far but it really seams to be a very crisp performing aeroplane. Very pleased. Tim
Geoff Gardiner
Hi Tim, I have probably had about a dozen or so flights with mine. Mine needs to fly with a bit of up elevator trim so I may have not got the wing incidence quite correct (balance seems OK). That said, I am really enjoying flying this one. I built it with a mind to practising for my 'B' cert at some point and I think it is well suited for the job.

adrian garnham
Geoff I have a couple of pdf plans that I wish to trace and laser cut. I noticed you mention at the beginning of this post that you use inkscape for this purpose. Can I ask how do you import the pdf and trace it ?
Geoff Gardiner
Hi Adrian, Inkscape will import/open pdf files. I then create a new layer for each part and I use the bezier tool to trace it. It is helpfull to reduce the opacity of the pdf to about 30%, this makes it easier to see where you are drawing lines. There is a useful tutorial here. Hope that helps. David Clark 18
Hi everyone. Just asking for your thoughts. Would it work to use the Ohmen wing on the Oodalally?
Peter Miller
If I remember correctly, the Oodalally wing is quite a lot bigger than the Ohmen wing. However if it fits why not?
Geoff Gardiner
Oodalally still going strong. I have had to change the motor again as the Emax one started to make some horrible noises. I am now using a Propdrive V2 3548 1100Kv motor. With an 11x7 prop, on a 4s battery at storage (3.8v / cell) I am getting: 864W @ 63A The AUW has come down a bit to 2150g. Flies a bit quicker know.
