Peter Jenkins
Seemed to take the England team a long time to get their heads around kicking in that wind. Scotland really lost it in the lineouts and towards the end with scrums. So Eddy packing his subs bench with forwards paid off - just. A game that could have easily ended with a Scotland win or more likely a draw. Ireland and France (most likely) to be the favourites for the Grand Slam unless England can beat Ireland and someone beats France.
Don Fry
My lot (just) won. They were better (just). As in skill, brain cell count, no comment.
Don Fry
Peter, did we not lose to France last week? cancel this post, so fuming, lost the ability to read. Edited By Don Fry on 08/02/2020 18:46:
Don Fry
Posted by fly boy3 on 08/02/2020 17:31:49: All home nations will have to improve by 2022. I have just been informed that World Cup holder S Afrika are joining the six nations, so it will be the seven nations as Italy are not going to be relegated. Cheers Errrr, are they so great? I don't think they are a slam dunk for invincible appellation. Won a Cup. Edit, best shut up. Edited By Don Fry on 08/02/2020 18:46:45 Indeed we did Don. That's why I said some needs to beat France otherwise Ireland and France will fight out the top spot. Don Fry
Enjoyed that. Didn't work out who's getting better, and who's going back. Having reviewed my rant yesterday, am I just plumb wrong. I don't think I ever played in those conditions, but I was coached, keep it in hand. Kick if you think you know where it will end up, otherwise, keep the ball. No one ever scored against you if you have the ball.
ron evans
Close win yesterday by the U20 boyos in poor conditions against a big French side. Hope the big boys can do as well under the roof this afternoon. Not been flying for a few weeks with all the bad weather....getting withdrawal symptoms
Don Fry
Eyes down Ron. Best of luck. Now I had good weather to day. After a good week. Maidened a Panic last Saturday. Found 20 litres of diesel washed up by the floods. Fixed a favourite Flair D VII wot had been sitting forlorn forever. And today broke the Panic I maidened last week. Totally rhubarbed. Destroyed. Ran out of ideas and altitude. No lack of speed. So be careful what you wish for. I'll build another, at least I know the snags now. Anyway, after seeing the second half of Italy Scotland, expecting better.

Peter Jenkins
The cracks are showing in the Welsh tactics. I fear the French have their number. Hope I'm wrong!
john stones 1 - Moderator
Dunno, close game and the French may tire, good game.
Peter Jenkins
The French team is too scared of what Shaun Edwards will say if they tire!
ron evans
Tight game, lost at the end of the first half perhaps. France 10 some player!!
Peter Jenkins
The French were very lucky not to have a penalty try awarded against them but after that Welsh tactics were not good enough. This is a very good French team as England found. It will be up to Ireland to stop a French grand slam.
Don Fry
France dun us. They dun Wales much the same. I note, when under pressure, don't buckle. Irleland, your turn. Good game.

Peter Jenkins
Did you watch the game when Storm Ciara was blowing? The kickers kept kicking even though the ball kept getting blown back towards them. Bright or what?
Don Fry
Don't get me started. I have not had a great weekend, and I am awaiting this game with a mixture of hope and dread, Pity you can't sort out brain cell like rooting compound, stick the head in, swish, and cunning takes root. Peter Jenkins
What happened to Ireland? OTOH, you can only play as well as your opponent allows and England put in their best performance since beating the ABs at the WC Semi. Hope Ireland put right what went wrong and put one over the French!
ron evans
Ireland all at sea in their own dead ball...don't let it bounce, two tries down. England dominant in all areas, Sexton off his game, no way back for the green.
Don Fry
Being picky. But, tail end, second half, 2 assaults on the Ireland 22. Two failed assaults. Both looking like a team in a hurry to do the business. And having given Ireland hope, failed to secure a bonus point in the second half. Missed point.
