Centrifugal clutch pads - from where ?

Recommended Posts

I'd like to get hold of some Stoneder centrifugal clutch pads, or similar product, to fit inside a 52mm drum or thereabouts. These are usally fitted in I.C. driven cars, but I have a different potential use, as brake shoes. Not so different really. A couple of suppliers I've tried list them, but out of stock. Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

Dimensions are not carved in stone, early design days so can be flexible.

i/c helicopters use centrifugal clutches, and most helicopter suppliers keep strips of ferodo (or similar) for fixing worn clutches.

If you go to Midland Helicopters website and use their search engine for "clutch lining" it will show a number of options, though many appear to be out of stock at the moment.

Might narrow your search, though!

You could try Bonz-MX, formerly 'The Ped Shed' They sell spares for Chinese quad bikes, engine driven scooters and mini motos. The most recent phone number I can see for them is 01252 378398 They are in Mytchett, Surrey GU16 6DJ

Otherwise, what about theses 52mm clutch shoes?  52mm Clutch Shoes
