kenking-King Design
I'd like to get hold of some Stoneder centrifugal clutch pads, or similar product, to fit inside a 52mm drum or thereabouts. These are usally fitted in I.C. driven cars, but I have a different potential use, as brake shoes. Not so different really. A couple of suppliers I've tried list them, but out of stock. Any suggestions will be gratefully received. Dimensions are not carved in stone, early design days so can be flexible.
Gary Manuel
AliExpress sell a good range of them but there might be an issue with delivery times from China due to the virus. Worth a try if you're in no rush.
Peter Christy
i/c helicopters use centrifugal clutches, and most helicopter suppliers keep strips of ferodo (or similar) for fixing worn clutches. If you go to Midland Helicopters website and use their search engine for "clutch lining" it will show a number of options, though many appear to be out of stock at the moment. Might narrow your search, though! -- Pete
Robin Colbourne
You could try Bonz-MX, formerly 'The Ped Shed' They sell spares for Chinese quad bikes, engine driven scooters and mini motos. The most recent phone number I can see for them is 01252 378398 They are in Mytchett, Surrey GU16 6DJ Otherwise, what about theses 52mm clutch shoes? 52mm Clutch Shoes Edited By Robin Colbourne on 06/02/2020 19:36:
kenking-King Design
Gary Manuel and Robin put me onto Ali Express, and I'm pleased to say there I found the clutch shoes I was looking for, and ordered them. The downside is the 30-40 day delivery. Ah well, forget about them and do something else, then when they do arrive it will be a nice surprise. Thanks both, Regards, Ken
