David Barker 2
Hi, I have a DX6i Spektrum Transmitter. Would like to set-up Ailerons on new model. Which should be Ailerons 20mm up & 6mm down. I have servos for each Aileron. I am using a y- lead. How do I go about this, should I remove y-Lead for separate single leads, and if so what channels to connect in receiver. Looked in instruction Manual and seems if it should be Differential function, which decreases the amount Aileron moves down without the other Aileron moving up. Not sure. Help Please. Thankyou Dave B.
Keith Berriman
Hi David. A quick fix is to put the servo arm off center so you can get more up than down. Have used this set up and happy with results
Nigel R
On the TX and with two channels: The correct function is indeed differential, the one you already have found. Remove the Y lead from the install, then: Left aileron in the aileron channel. Right aileron in aux1 channel. You need to set the wing type to "dual aileron" somewhere (I'm afraid I forget where, it has been a while). Or the quick way, as RC Plane Flyer says, tweak the servo arm by one or two notches, and re-adjust the control rod. It works just as well in practice. Bruce Collinson
But better in the long run to do as Nigel describes, separate the ailerons onto a channel each, then you have access to sub trims etc. BTC
