Cliff 1959
Flying my newly-acquired 'Bird of Time' glider with 2-axis camera mount fitted, she's decades old but flies beautifully.
fly boy3
Lovely looking model Cliff, and a great video too. It's probably my age ,but that sort of flying is just up my street. Cheers

Geoff Copping
BoT was my first ever thermal soarer and, although I don't have one now, it's my favourite soarer. MMM, perhaps I should check my piggy-bank?
Cliff 1959
They seem to be unobtainable at the moment Geoff, although the plans are probably around.
Wilco Wingco
Just won one on E-bay. what sort wind do you recommend to fly it in. Its a kit built i think. No motor. Cheers Mike.
Cliff 1959
Congratulations on your purchase Wilco, it's difficult to answer your question as it depends a lot on the hslope you fly from, the lift generated by the slope and the wing loading of the model. If you can feel it wanting to lift out of your hand then the lift is probably ok. Do you have much experience Slope soaring?
Graham Davies 3
Great video Cliff. Apologies, I am sure you have answered this elsewhere. Can you share details of the camera and mount please? Graham
Cliff 1959
Hi Graham, the camera is a Mobius and the mount is a two access mount, search ebay for 'camera mount pan/tilt', about £5.
Graham Davies 3
Thanks Cliff. Ordered a mount. I have a new biplane with a nice big cockpit. Perfect for the job! Graham
