  1. New shelving going in where all the wings used to reside, watched over by the lone Lancer. D.D.
  2. That and the M-19 David, ah well, you can't win em all eh? D.D.
  3. Thanks for all the nice words Chaps, I have now sold all but one plane, 7 helicopters, and a load of rubber powered models. I love flying the rubber power models, and as you say you can do it in the park. I have since bought another heli, 🙄, I couldn't help it. 😂 My empty garage. LOL I will never part with the Lancer tho, given to me by an old Mate, now departed. Before. After.
  4. Like I say, I will be flying helis and building small rubber powered models, but the bigger stuff takes up too much space, unless I build one and just sell it on for someone else to fly. D.D.
  5. So, decision made, I am selling lots of models. A company called APOB are coming to have a look and give me a price for all of it. Well, I say all of it, I am keeping all rubber power and all indoor helicopters, plus the Lancer, which a late Friend gave me. I managed to repair my JR DSX9 Tx, by cannibalising switches from my Spekky DX7, which was screaming total memory loss at me when I switch it on. I may well build some more models, but the flying part is a waste of time round here, no sites close any more. I have always had motorbikes and my interest lies mainly with these now.
  6. Hello Chaps, it's been over a year and I'm still in the same place regarding flying as I was then. 🤣🤣 I'm gonna dust off the thermos, make some sandwiches, catch up and then see how the land lies. Hope you are all well BTW. D.D.
  7. Thanks John, How are You ? I am still looking in matey. D.D.
  8. Well done Tim,👍 no I haven't flown yet....I intend to get to the field when the weather warms up mate. I have a number of models to maiden so that should be interesting, not having flown for a while. I have been building motor cycles and push bikes since I retired, while I wait for the sun to come out. I do keep my eye on you lot too. D.D.
  9. Just paid up, nice and easy, but I noticed my op id is now due at the end of Jan, I only renewed it in July??? Oh Well D.D.
  10. Cessna looks great Tim. Well done Matey. As for retirement, I have a great weight lifted off me, and as already said, the only thing I miss is my mates and the good people I have left behind. The a***holes I can do without quite easily. I need to get back into my modelling, but I have to thin out my hangar. This may happen due to my flying being rusty. LOL But a local swapmeet would be better. I look forward to talking to you lot more in the near future, Good to see you McG, and you G.G., and you David. D.D
  11. Me at the back, son in law dismantling shock bolts, Daughter took the pic. D.D.
  12. Hey, How all you Guys been ?? You know what, I only did taxi tests, but there was plenty of power there Tim. Sorry if this was too late to help. LOL. I am now retired...........YAY !! Been Ill with Epilepsy, caused by Anxiety at work so we will see what she flies like next year, Hopefully......If I can remember how to do it !! D.D. Been playing with this of late, to keep the old grey cells going.
  13. Excellent Matey, Well Done. Nice scale tail up take off and landing. D.D.
  14. I forgot to mention that my CAA subs run from July to July, which is why I was invisible in December. I am happy to continue paying direct to the CAA in this manner. D.D.
  15. I had the reverse experience, in that I tried to renew with my BMFA, but got replies of "cannot find you" etc, even tho my BMFA went thru ok. I waited for my CAA to run out and lo and behold I got an email from the CAA. I renewed with them with my original GBR number intact (second year). Prior to that I had a temporary number. A tad irritating but all turned out well. I agree with Geoff, the whole thing is a bit of a mess, but persevere and you will be ok. D.D.
  16. Seems like there was a lack of sympathy for running dry Ron, judging by the laughter at the end of the first vid. I would ban that individual. LOL or fit a bigger tank. ? D.D.
  17. I use a Hitech optic6, I got from Sussex models, on some indoor stuff. Falcon models, which use an rx ( brick) with linear servos on board. I also have a KielKraft Spit, converted to RC with one of these. As above, even tho I have a channel checker, it is rarely used. ? D.D.
  18. yep, taken for granted the hinges will be scrap mate, always use new. leave the stumps in if needs be, as per Andys post, just move the hinges along to fresh balsa. D.D.
  19. Can you pop the pins out D.F. ? Separate the surface, then dig out the hinges ? D.D.
