David Boyd
Hi does anyone out there know if anyone produces The kit for the South Herts vulcan.b2? I have the full plans for it and hopefully convert it to 4x 64mm fans!
Callsign Tarnish
SHM themselves produced a laser cut short kit and the vac formed mouldings last time I looked. I built mine just from the plans and it's quite simple, go for it.
Robert Parker
Hi David, I too have a set of plans of the south Herts Vulcan, which I have had for many many years with the intention to build it one day. To my knowledge, I don't recall it being kitted, if they did I missed out on it. I wish you all the best in your build and would love to see a build blog as you progress Regards Robert
David Boyd
Hi thanks for the reply! It was really just for the Vac formed parts but I could use the ones from The ron fraser vulcan available from sarik hobbies! Did anyone fly it with the pusher configuration? Did it fly ok? Piers Bowlan
Andy Meade built a very nice looking PSS version of the South Herts Vulcan. I just wondered if South Hearts Models are still going as I can't find them on the net and I would be interested in a plan. Martin Harris - Moderator
There's a listing here for SHM - it's a private address a few miles away from the original location but it was operating previously from a large outbuilding at the owner's property. My guess would be that he retired from any significant activity a few years ago but perhaps a call to the phone number might get some pointers to obtaining the vac formed parts? I would caution that he will be in his mid eighties now but the company was only dissolved last year.
