tigerman
I have a couple of old lipo that have no power left in them and need to get rid of them .What is the best way to make the lipo safe so I can get rid of them .I do not want the hassle of booking a slot at my local council tip ( round trip of 20 miles ) Just need a safe and reasonable way to get rid of these lipos
David Hall 9
Presently, I carefully discharge them (they are generally failed packs, so I discharge them via the balance plug, one cell at a time using a car bulb). I remove the leads, tape them up then pop them in those battery receptacles in the supermarkets. I don't know if this gives anyone a problem, but I assume that they are dealt with by people who know what to do with them.
