Frank Skilbeck
Before the DSM vs FAAST arguements start, they both seem good systems, I have a Spektrum DX6i and there is a Futaba 6 EXA and FF7 2.4 used regularly at our club and so far no problems. So I'd say go with the one you like best.
Always broke
Personal preference is what its all about really. Both good systems. I had always flown with Futaba , but I went the Spektrum /JR route. I just like the system better , much more choice in RXs and I like the features it has. If I was to do it all over again I would do the same thing and I recommend the Spektrum over the Futaba because I like it better. They both have good points and bad. Just like buying a Car . I have now upgraded the TX to the JR9x which which uses the Spektrum system and I love it. Best radio I have had and I sold my 9ZAP w/c to help pay for it. Martin McIntosh
Having tried both, I go with `Always broke`. Both systems appear to be infallible in the air but at the cheapo end the Spekky wins hands down. Being a JR fan I now use a DSX9 which will probably be the last Tx I buy.
