Terry Plumridge 1
From the Flysky manual, " i-BUS Setup. This function is used to set up the i-BUS module. The i-BUS module can be used to add servos to your model that may be too far away from the receiver" Don't servo extension leads do that?? I guess I am missing something here.? MattyB
As far as I am aware it is just another aerial bus protocol (like the more common S-Bus used by Futaba, Frsky etc). Using these systems you only have to run a single wire out to (say) a wing or tail, but when it gets there it can branch off (normally using a small decoder module, or you can use special serial bus servos too) to drive multiple servos. It can be handy in large models that dissemble into multiple components and have redundant receiver and power systems, but is generally unnecessary for flying average sport models. You also have to be careful to make sure the single servo wire can provide sufficient power for all the servos using it. Frank Skilbeck
Can also be useful to connect to things like flight controllers etc, but unless FlySkys I-Bus replicates one of the other more commonly used bus systems then it's unlikely to be supported.
