Skippers Walker
Just interested to know if anyone has 'electrified' this old F/F design and if so what was the power train set up please? SW
DaveyP
Yes, I removed a paw diesel from mine and changed to electric, its actually on its second electric setup now. I've just moved house and lots of stuff is still in boxes but I'll have a look later and see what powertrain I used, can't remember off the top of my head, it's an age thing ?
Skippers Walker
Thanks Davey. My original version was powered by a ED Bee 1cc--still got it in a drawer somewhere! The current model is a trip down memory lane, also an age thing! I'll look out for your reply Cheers SW (Chris)
DaveyP
Hi Chris, finally got round to sorting my new workshop out. My Madcap currently has an Emax cf2822 motor with an 8 x 3.8 prop and a 20amp esc. Batteries are 500mA 3s and give around 6/7 minutes flying time. I am looking at putting a larger battery in mainly for balance as it will pootle along nicely on half throttle. Hope this helps, Dave P
Skippers Walker
Many thanks Davey for the info. I'll look out for an Emax motor or similar. I already have a 3S 700mA battery that should fit nicely. Once I get it set up and flying I will post the result. Cheers for now Chris (SW)
